Professor Emeritus at Harvard Law School, Alan Dershowitz, joined the National News Desk this week to discuss the Democrat Party’s leap towards communism.
Several communists won their Democrat primaries in New York last week.
Dr. Dershowitz compared the present day Democrat Party to the early socialists in Stalin’s Russia and 1932 Germany.
He did not hold back.
Alan Dershowitz: I think the Democratic Democratic Party today, with its domination by the Democratic Socialists of America, are coming very close to what socialists were saying in 1932 in Germany and in Stalin’s Russia. We are moving one of our parties toward an extreme.
And I think the Democrats have an obligation to tell the Democratic Socialists of America, you’re a different party. Go form a new party, form a third party, and then you can run. But don’t run as Democrats. You’re defrauding the public. You’re misleading the public. You’re getting people to vote for you because you call yourself Democrats when you’re not Democrats. You’re anti-Democrats, you’re anti-democratic. You’re in favor of tyrannical controls over the economy, housing, and other kinds of things. That’s not Democrats. That’s socialists, and don’t mislead the public…
Look, Mandani called me, probably you, but called me a monster, said anybody who supports AIPAC or supports Israel is a monster.
Monster is a term that has been used for 2,000 years to dehumanize Jews so that you have a two-step process. First you demonize them, then you kill them. It started with the Dreyfus case in the late 19th century. It continued to Nazi Germany, where Goebbels kept calling Jews monsters. Portraying them as monsters.
Now you have the mayor of the city with the largest Jewish population outside of Israel calling me and other residents of New York who support Israel monsters. So are you surprised that a coffee shop won’t serve a monster like Congressman Goldman? It’s all part of the same process. And Mamdani is the villain. He’s at fault. He’s the person who’s trying to destroy the Democratic Party and create a socialist party in its stead.
Dr. Dershowitz then explained how this is a complete fraud that Democrats are perpetrating on their voters and the American public.
Alan Dershowitz: The Democratic Party is moving toward becoming a socialist party, and Americans are not socialists. And if Americans are given a clear choice between socialists and Democrats or Republicans, they will not choose socialists. But if the socialists are allowed to disguise themselves as Democrats, then they can squeak through with small number of voters at primaries. I don’t think a socialist candidate today could win a statewide election in any state, citywide election in most cities. But if they pretend to be Democrats and if the Democrats welcome them in, Then they’re going to win elections on the basis of fraud. This is pure and complete fraud on the voters and shame on the voters who fall for it.
