Collin Gosselin Claims His Mom Kate Took Her ‘Anger And Frustration’ Out On Him

Former reality star Collin Gosselin, who rose to fame in the reality series “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” made accusations against his estranged mom Kate during an interview.

The 19-year-old said his mom seemed to take “out her anger and frustration” on him as she was going through a divorce while facing the challenges of raising eight young children.

“I know my mother was going through a lot of things. I mean, a divorce and plenty of different things that can’t be easy to go through,” Collin said in a preview of Vice TV’s “Dark Side of the 2000s” documentary.

“And, you know, I want to think that she needed someone to take out her anger and frustration on, and it was just kind of me,” he continued. “I was in the way and I was there. So, she chose me.”

Collin said he was not a “perfect child,” he also thinks his “misbehaving was no different than” his siblings. He is one of the sextuplets along with Leah, Hannah, Alexis, Aaden, and Joel. His two older siblings are twins Madelyn and Cara, 22.

Hannah was also interviewed and confirmed the accusations her brother was making. “[Collin] would be separated from us,” she claimed in the documentary. “Like, he would not get to come and play outside with us. He would eat dinner at different times than us.”

“I don’t think effort was made in the home to help him learn what behavior is acceptable and what behavior is not acceptable,” Hannah said.

Kate said she enrolled Collin, then 12, into a behavioral learning facility in 2016, per Buzzfeed. His father Jon took him out of the school in 2018, and he was awarded full custody of Collin at that time.

“After being [in the facility], I didn’t have a relationship with her,” Collin told Entertainment Tonight in November. “Even before [being] there, I don’t think we had much of a relationship and I think that just kept tearing it even more down.”

“I want to believe it was because of TV and what being in the public eye does to a family. I think it tore us apart,” he said. “It gave us less time to actually be together as a family, [and] more time to be in the public eye.”
