‘She Ain’t Worth It’: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Intervenes In Verbal Confrontation Between Marjorie Taylor Greene And Jamaal Bowman

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) stepped between two of her colleagues on Wednesday, telling Rep. Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) that it wasn’t “worth it” to continue arguing with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA).

Greene and Bowman were engaged in a heated back-and-forth outside the Capitol, and The Daily Beast reporter Ursula Perano captured the exchange in a video she shared on Twitter.

“Expel him. Save the party. Your party’s hanging by a thread!” Bowman demanded of Greene, referencing recently-indicted Rep. George Santos (R-NY).

“We gotta get rid of Biden,” Greene countered. “Save the country!”

“Your party’s hanging by a thread!” Bowman continued to shout.

“Impeach Biden. Impeach Biden! Impeach Biden!” was Greene’s response.

“You gotta save the party. Listen, no more QAnon, no more MAGA,” Bowman broadened his attack.

“No more CNN,” said Greene.

“No more debt ceiling nonsense. Come on, now!” Bowman kept shouting — and Greene continued to push back before turning away.

“She ain’t worth it, bro,” Ocasio-Cortez said while walking up to Bowman.

“Save the party!” Bowman continued to shout at Greene.

“She ain’t worth it, bro. She ain’t worth it,” Ocasio-Cortez kept repeating.

Just moments before the exchange, Bowman had been heckling Santos on the Capitol steps, demanding that he resign after a Democratic attempt to oust him from Congress was delayed. Republicans instead voted to kick the resolution to expel the embattled freshman congressman to the House Ethics Committee.

“You gotta resign, bro!” he shouted, joined in his calls by Ocasio-Cortez.

Santos has repeatedly refused to heed calls to resign, even after he was indicted last week by the Justice Department on 13 counts that included – among other things — wire fraud, illegal financial transactions, lying on financial disclosures, and stealing public funds for his own personal use. He was accused of using campaign funds to pay for luxury items and designer clothing and to pay off his personal credit cards.
