Woman Admits to Killing Deer When Cops Pull Her Over to Hand Out Holiday Gift

Madera County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) deputies gifted unsuspecting motorists in Madera, California, with cash donated by the Agriland Farming Company on December 23 in “Operation: Random Acts of Kindness.”
One driver pulled over is seen telling the sheriff’s deputy that she killed a deer a few months earlier, thinking that was the reason she was pulled over. To her relief and surprise, the officer tells her he pulled her over to give her a gift. The woman then begins to cry as she thanks the deputy.
The sheriff’s office said this is the fifth year in a row they and employees of Agriland Farming Company have handed out 50 envelopes with $100 inside each.
“Sheriff Varney mentioned that deputies primarily have contact with citizens when something stressful or bad is happening,” the Madera County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook. “This annual giving event allows deputies an opportunity to interact with the public in a positive manner and spread some holiday cheer.” Credit: Madera County Sheriff’s Office via Storyful
