Authorities Catch Illegal Alien Accused Of Murdering 5 Neighbors In Texas

The illegal alien accused of murdering five of his neighbors in Texas late last week has been apprehended after a dayslong manhunt involving hundreds of law enforcement officials.

CNN reported that the alleged murderer was arrested in the small Texas town of Cut and Shoot, which has a population of just over 1,000 people — roughly 17 miles away from where the killings happened.

The Daily Wire previously published the suspect’s name and photo since law enforcement had launched a manhunt searching for him. Following his arrest, the suspect’s name and photo will no longer be used because of the company’s policy about depriving mass killers of notoriety.

The suspect allegedly shot five of his neighbors in the head after they asked him to stop shooting his rifle because they had a baby inside their home who was sleeping.

“We asked him to be quiet ’cause my baby was scared,” the father of the child said in an interview. “I never thought that he would shoot. He went room to room, looking for people.”

“I have no words to describe what happened,” the father later added. “We are alive but there is no life. I was able to escape by a miracle.”

The suspect, who is a Mexican national, was unlawfully in the U.S. and had been deported several times in the past, ranging from 2009 through 2016.

Officials identified the victims as Sonia Argentina Guzman, 25; Diana Velazquez Alvarado, 21; Julisa Molina Rivera, 31; Jonathan Casarez, 18; and Daniel Enrique Laso, 8.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott offered a $50,000 reward for information leading to the capture of the suspect, which came after San Jacinto County Sheriff Greg Capers said his office was offering a $55,000 reward and the FBI announced that it was contributing $25,000 to the reward.

“Our hearts go out to the families and loved ones of the five victims that were taken in this senseless act of violence,” Abbott said earlier in making the announcement. “I continue working with state and local officials to ensure they have all available resources to respond to this horrific crime. I thank the men and women in law enforcement who are tirelessly working to ensure this criminal is caught and brought to justice.”
