Dan Bongino ‘Stunned’ Reacting Live To Fox Parting Ways With Tucker Carlson

Popular conservative pundit Dan Bongino reacted with shock upon learning that Fox News parted ways with top-rated host Tucker Carlson.

“I’m stunned. I don’t even know what to say right now,” Bongino, who himself recently split with Fox News, said as his podcast, “The Dan Bongino Show,” was airing live on Monday.

Moments earlier, Bongino said he had “actual goosebumps” after learning the news and receiving multiple text messages from people following Carlson’s departure.

In a move that sent shockwaves through the media sphere, Fox News announced on Monday that the network and Carlson “agreed to part ways,” and the host’s last show was Friday.

“We thank him for his service to the network as a host and prior to that as a contributor,” Fox News said in a statement, adding that “Fox News Tonight” will air live at 8 p.m. ET as an interim show helmed by “rotating” network personalities until a new host is named.

Notably, Carlson ended his last show by telling viewers he would be back on Monday. As of press time, Carlson has yet to comment on his situation.

Sources told The Los Angeles Times that the decision to fire Carlson and his producer Justin Wells came from Fox Corp. Chairman Rupert Murdoch and that the exit is related to a discrimination lawsuit filed by former network producer Abby Grossberg.

Carlson leaves Fox News days after Bongino announced his exit from the network. Like Carlson, Bongino had a show on Fox’s flagship network and another on its subscription-based Fox Nation.

Upon sharing the development about his time ending at the network, Bongino assured his listeners that there was “no acrimony” between himself and Fox, but rather the two sides “just couldn’t come to terms on an extension. That’s really it.”

On Monday, while reacting to Carlson’s exit from Fox News, Bongino said he had “no inside knowledge” about the situation surrounding his former colleague.

“I don’t even care to speculate about what happened. But I suspect Tucker Carlson will be getting a lot of offers from a lot of people,” Bongino said.
