Kamala Harris Lashes Out at “Charlamagne Tha god” When He Asks If Biden’s the “real president”

Vice President Kamala Harris gets agitated with radio host Charlamagne Tha god, whose real name is Lenard McElvey when he asked if Joe Biden was the ‘real president’ during her appearance on his talk show.  Charlamagne asked the VP why she and Biden were unable to press their flagship $1.75 trillion “Build Back Better” legislation on his Comedy Central show on Friday, December 17th.

Symone Sanders, Kamala’s handler/aid, attempted to step in front of the camera, claiming they had to end the interview and leave immediately. “They’re acting like they can’t hear me,” the 43-year-old host said as Sanders attempted to block the camera and stop the interview.

After Sanders’ failed attempt to stop the interview, Kamala responded: “I can hear you.” Charlamagne repeated his question. “So who’s the real president of this country? Is it Joe Manchin or Joe Biden?” he asked, to which Harris snapped, “Come on, Charlamagne. Come on. It’s Joe Biden.”  When Charlamagne told her, “I can’t tell sometimes,” Harris became visibly agitated.  Wagging her finger at Charglamange, she responded, “No, no, no, no, no, no, no. It’s Joe Biden, and don’t start talking like a Republican about asking whether or not he’s president. And it’s Joe Biden. And I’m vice president, and my name is Kamala Harris.”

The Biden Administration was unable to convince West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin to vote for his $1.75 trillion domestic investment program and major election reforms on Thursday when, as POLITICO reported, the president was forced to admit that his signature Build Back Better bill would not pass the Senate before Christmas as he had hoped. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) is almost single-handedly responsible for this delay. Manchin, a moderate Democrat, met with Biden last week to discuss what it would take for him to vote for the president’s $1.75 trillion spending bill, but negotiations went “very poorly.”

Because the Senate is evenly divided between the two parties and every Republican opposes the bill, it cannot pass without Manchin. Harris would cast the tie-breaking vote in the event of a 50-50 split.

Harris continued her answer to Charlamagne on Friday, touting the administration had already achieved a list of policies and plans. “I hear the frustration. But let’s not deny the impact that we’ve had, and agree also that there is a whole lot more work to be done. And it is not easy to do, but we will not give up. And I will not give up,” she concluded. Charlamagne replied: “I just want you to know, Madame Vice President, that Kamala Harris, that’s the one I like. That’s the one that was putting the pressure on people in Senate hearings. That’s the one I’d like to see more often out here in these streets.”

Harris’ appearance in 2019 on Charlamagne’s radio show The Breakfast Club was of a much easygoing and friendlier nature. During that interview, she admitted to Charlamagne that she had smoked marijuana in college.

The recent video from Friday went viral on Twitter with mixed reactions. Did VP Kamala tear up Charlamange? Was he disrespectful to the Vice President? What are your thoughts?
