It was an intergalactic battle of the ages. Rocket man Elon Musk, the man using his talents to send men to Mars, versus Elton John, the man who sings about it.
Elton John tweeted his fairwell tweet on Friday to his Twitter followers. It was short and sweet.
All my life I’ve tried to use music to bring people together. Yet it saddens me to see how misinformation is now being used to divide our world.
I’ve decided to no longer use Twitter, given their recent change in policy which will allow misinformation to flourish unchecked.
The Twitter world mourned as Elton John made his Twitter goodbyes. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road – Elton John is leaving Twitter.
A short time later Elon Musk replied to fellow rocket man, Elton John in a similarly short tweet:
I love your music. Hope you come back. Is there any misinformation in particular that you’re concerned about?
Boom – and space wars started and finished with one short question.
