Trudeau’s authoritarian crackdown on freedom convoy demonstrators and their supporters continues. Despite the measures that the Canadian government has taken to break the will of the protesters, from freezing supporters bank accounts to using physical force, the protests have continued.
Canadian police have started to intensify their crackdown and are using more brutal tactics to disperse protsters. On Friday, Ottawa police trampled an elderly woman in a scooter with a horse. This weekend, a Rebel News journalist was shot with a non lethal weapon as police deployed tear gas and other brutal measures to break up the protests.

Now, it has been revealed that police actively take joy in brutalizing Freedom Convoy demonstrators. In what is alleged to be an RCMP group chat, police officers make jokes about protesters hearing their ‘jackboots on the ground’.
One officer seemed excited at the chance to beat up protesters, saying that he hopes protests are still going on next week so he can ‘get his turn’ in a text sent the weekend before police began using violence against the mostly peaceful demonstrators.
Another says that the aforementioned video of an elderly woman being trampled by a mounted police unit was ‘awesome’ and that officers should repeat the manuever. Rebel News is still in the process of independently verifying that the text messages were from members of the RCMP.
